Hi,
I did not mean to sound like scary people were the main concern to
me when hiking alone. They are not a concern to me. A whistle or
legal pepper spray are tools for thwarting attacks by rabid skunks,
raccoons, wild coyotes, foxes, bears...black widow
spiders..hmm...what am I leaving out?(lots).
I want to ensure that, if hurt, I can try to summon help (via
whistle) and can be somewhat comfortable/able to care for myself
until help comes.
